CHISt. Joseph Childrens Health seeks a qualified and passionate dentist to serveas the lead clinician for the organizations new Brush.Brush.Smile! ChildrensDental Center opening in Columbia, Pennsylvania. In addition the candidate will provideclinical leadership, guidance and direction to all dental services providedby CHI St. Joseph Childrens Health in conjunction with the Director of DentalServices.
Thedental services of CHI St. Joseph Childrens Health are dedicated to improvingthe oral health of children in need throughout the Lancaster Community. The program combines mobile dental servicesoperating at school-based locations throughout the County with the traditionaloffice of the Columbia Childrens Dental Center to provide comprehensive,high-quality childrens dental services to families regardless of insurancestatus or the ability to pay. Theopening of the Dental Center moves CHI St. Joseph Childrens Health one stepcloser to fulfilling the organizations goal of assuring that every child inthe Lancaster Community has access to a dental home.
Theideal candidate will:
have a passion for childrens oral health.
demonstrate a high level of comfort working with childrenage zero to eighteen and their families.
maintain a current understanding and working knowledge of childrensand general dental practices and techniques.
complete age-appropriate dental services for childrenenrolled with CHI St. Joseph Childrens Health including but not limited to examsand treatments.
offer sedation as necessary to assist children in receivingappropriate and necessary oral health care.Sedation may be provided directly or in collaboration with specialtyproviders.
provide clinical supervision and guidance to dentaldepartment staff.
work in collaboration with the Director of Dental Servicesto assure dental programs meets and exceeds benchmarks for productivity andquality.
Theselected candidate will start at CHI St. Joseph Childrens Health in Decemberxxxx. The new Childrens Dental Center officially opens in January xxxx.
