Untitled FULL TIME Metals Fabrication and Welding Instructor Position FALL xxxx Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology announces an opening for a full time Metals Fabrication and Welding Instructor beginning August 17, xxxx. The instructor will teach Advanced Machinery and CNC Operations, Blueprint Reading. Layout processes including simple, parallel line development, radial line development and triangulation. Welding fundamentals including: GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, PAC and OAW. Forklift Operation, Rigging and Hoisting; and Installation. Preferred requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in technical education or related degree associated Metals Fabrication and Welding, and at least five years of professional experience. Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree with ten years of experience and completion of a Bachelor's Degree within five years contingent upon hiring. Additionally, experience in layout, fabrication and welding of plate with minimum thicknesses of 3/16". The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 current years of teaching experience in the fields identified above or provide requisite equivalent experience to substitute for teaching experience. Instructional hours are Monday to Friday 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Additionally, a minimum of three hours each week for office availability for students. Salary and rank for the position is determined on the basis of academic qualification and experience as projected on the Faculty Association contract.
