Job Description
Michelson Realty Company is looking for a highly motivated maintenance technician for
a multi-family facility in Elkton, MD. Candidate must have a good work ethic and have a positive
attitude. One year of experience in apartment maintenance is preferred.
Candidate must have reliable transportation. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefit

An employee in this position performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and
maintenance of appliances, buildings, and equipment. Work involves primary responsibility for
proficiency in several trades, with working conditions and the degree of supervision exercised
differing according to the location and nature of assignments. The employee exercises technical
independence in determining work methods and procedures and receives assignments orally or through
written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams. Review of work is received
from technical or administrative superiors through inspections and discussion.
Examples of Work:
1. Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors,
and other such equipment.
2. Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters,
ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
3. Performs skilled maintenance activities including carpentry and minor plumbing.
4. Checks and repairs, fans, valves, and motors.
5. Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical relays.
6. Prepares accurate records for preventive maintenance.
7. Performs related work as required.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
1. Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in electrical, and plumbing.
2. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.
3. Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used.
4. Ability to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustments.
5. Ability to interpret diagrams.
Minimum Training and Experience:
1. One year of experience in multi-housing maintenance work, which involves
electrical, and plumbing.
